After experiencing life outside of Philadelphia and in Harrisburg, Rob Kline’s parents chose to raise their three boys in New Cumberland. Rob and his wife Lynne made the same choice for their family! He can’t name just one favorite memory of growing up here, but holds special fondness for the events of the Bicentennial when the Freedom Train came through town.
As a boy, Rob dreamed of becoming an athlete. While he never became a professional, Rob parlayed his love of sports into coaching New Cumberland’s youth in football, baseball and basketball through the years.
Rob never tires of showing off Borough Park, which he calls a “jewel.” He notes the town is fortunate to have unique and welcoming shops and restaurants. His current favorite place to take out-of-town guests is a childhood friend’s distillery tasting room, Dead Lightning Distillery.
