About a week after Robert and Amanda Hasemeier moved into the old Dr. Dietrich home in 1987, a group of young cheerleaders rang the doorbell. “We discovered that the Halloween parade assembled in front of our house, and the cheerleaders said they had used our bathroom in previous years!” Amanda remembers.

That’s just one example of the small-town charm the Hasemeiers enjoy living in New Cumberland. “We have a great walking community and a walk is always relaxing,” Amanda says. And if they had a guest? “Our number one stop would be Weist Hardware store!” Robert says. “The store is packed with an amazing selection of merchandise and if you don’t see the product on the shelf, there is an online catalog with delivery every Friday to the store. How great is this?”

As a child, Robert was always constructing something and Amanda had an eye for detail and dreamt of becoming a cartographer. They parlayed these dreams and talents into Manor House Studio, a custom cabinetry business helping people design their dream kitchens with cabinets made in Pennsylvania. In the Manor House studio, clients can touch and see different options and designs.

“While few cabinet vendors have a physical showroom, it is important to us that Manor House Studio give people the real feel of the many options that can be applied to a kitchen or other room design,” Robert says.
