“I had no choice!” laughs Amelia Ball when asked if she chose New Cumberland or if it chose her. “I’ve lived here since birth and came right back after graduating from Penn State.” Amelia’s best memories are composed of spending time with friends—riding their bikes through town and visiting NOLA, the frozen ice shop after a long day at middle school.
Amelia dreamt of being a veterinarian, but her curiosity and creativity were piqued watching her aunt, Gennifer Richie, the owner of Odessa Design. “My senior year at Cedar Cliff, I decided to intern at Odessa Design for my senior project,” she says. “From there, I went on to study at PSU and worked at the agency every summer until I graduated when I started full-time. We offer just about anything a business might need, including logo design, branding, website, social media, video, and animation.”
Amelia would gladly show off New Cumberland, starting with stopping by BCB for a coffee, walking through downtown, and maybe stopping by a Food Truck Rally. “Also, the Apple Festival is something you cannot pass up every year!” she adds. It is always so much fun!”
