DESCRIPTION:Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) consists of products in the home which are corrosive (drain cleaners or bleach)\, flammable (gasoline or kerosene)\, reactive (chemistry kits and photographic chemicals) or toxic (pesticides and insecticides). Penn Waste is NOT authorized to pickup these materials. These materials may NOT be placed in your curbside trash. \nCumberland County offers a HHW collection recycling program in an attempt to give the residents of Cumberland County an alternative disposal method for these types of wastes. \nHazardous waste will be accepted by the County on these days. 2025 collection days are: \nThursday\, April 10\, 2025\, 11 am to 5 pm \nSaturday\, May 31\, 2025\, 9 am to 3 pm \nSaturday\, August 16\, 2025\, 9 am to 3 pm \nThursday\, October 23\, 2025\, 11 am to 5 pm \nAppointments are required and a fee of $0.75/lb will be charged. Click here for more details and to sign up.    \nAcceptable Materials\nA complete list of acceptable HHW can be viewed here.
