New Cumberland has been home for Harry Jenkins since September 1978. “We chose New Cumberland because of the location of my work and the schools,” he recalls. “We were checking out the neighborhood, the house caught our eye, the realtor lived next door, everything fell into place, and that was that!”
The town is embedded in Harry’s heart. After he retired, the Olde Towne Association asked him to serve on the board. “When I asked them why they would pick me, they said because I care about New Cumberland,” he says. “That is true and is still my fondest memory.”
Family and friends alike are welcome to Harry’s home first and foremost. “If they want to see local attractions, they can google,” he laughs. Perhaps when the current virus scare goes away, there will be alternatives to my home and gardens!”
